We walk through our farm twice a week and take stock of which vegetables are perfect & ready to harvest. We then update the Virtual Farmstand every Sunday and Wednesday. This way we only harvest what is ordered, so there is zero food waste on our farm. It also means that you get the freshest food possible.

Choose how & when to receive your order

During checkout, you have two choices on how to receive your order: pickup your order from our farm stand in Troy, NY or get it delivered to your door (only available in the city of Troy, NY). Then you will choose when to receive your order: we have two pickup windows per week, Wednesday 4pm -7pm, Saturday 10am - 2pm.

Get your veggies

We have gotten your order and we harvest your food fresh the day of or day before your order is ready. We then pack it into paper bags and deliver it to your door or leave it out for you to pickup from the farm stand in South Troy, NY. That simple!

 
 

Virtual Farmstand FAQ

Q. Do I have to be a member of your CSA to order from the Virtual Farmstand?

A. No! The Virtual Farmstand is open to the public and anyone can order.

Q. I love picking out my own food when I go to the store, but ordering online means I can’t do this, how do I know I’m getting the best quality veggies?

A. Since we harvest to order, we only pick the optimal produce available. We take extra time making sure your vegetables are perfect, but if you have a special preference for a specific item, leave a note in the “delivery notes” section during checkout.

Q. What kind of packaging do you use? I’m trying to use less plastic.

A. We wrap all of the vegetables in a compostable liner and put that in a recycled brown paper bag. All cut greens (arugula, baby lettuce mix & mighty greens mix are packaged in a plastic bag, so if you want to avoid all plastic, opt for head lettuce for your salad instead!)

Q. Whenever I look at the Virtual Farmstand everything is sold out, when is the best time to order when everything is in stock?

A. We restock the Virtual Farmstand twice a week: on Sunday morning and Wednesday morning at 9 am. If you want to get the best selection, we recommend ordering those days. We cut off ordering Tuesday at noon for Wednesday orders and Friday at noon for Saturday orders.

Q. Can I get a reminder for when the Virtual Farmstand is restocked?

Y. You can sign up for the Virtual Farmstand Newsletter here and you’ll receive a weekly email from us every week to announce the restock and highlight the newest in-season vegetables. These emails only get sent out between May and November each year.
