Snap Beans

 Storage Tips

  • Take out of pint container and store in sealed bag in the refrigerator for up to a week, unwashed.

Culinary Tips

  • Before consuming, wash thoroughly and cut off the end with the stem by lining up the ends of multiple beans and chopping the ends off. Some people cut off both ends of the bean, so prepare to your preference.

  • Snap beans can be eaten raw in salads (or a snack), blanched for one minute and tossed in a fresh dressing and other vegetables, blistered with garlic and lemon, or pickled to make dilly beans! Such a versitile vegetable, and each application brings out a distinctly different flavor and texture. Don’t have enough time to prepare them now? Blanch your beans and store in the freeze for winter.
